On March 3, 2026, M Assist celebrated the company’s 25th anniversary together with clients, partners, employees, and long-standing companions. The anniversary event was part of Future Lab 2026, a format hosted by M Assist every two years to bring together current developments in healthcare, future trends, and strategic perspectives.

The fact that the anniversary and Future Lab coincided this year is fitting for what M Assist has stood for over the past 25 years: a deep understanding of the industry, close connection to practice, and the ambition not only to accompany developments, but to actively help shape them.

A focus on the future, with the industry in view
Future Lab 2026 brought together decision-makers, industry representatives, and thought leaders from a range of fields. At the heart of the event were both the current challenges facing the healthcare sector and the question of how companies can position themselves for the future.

The program included contributions on technological developments, artificial intelligence, robotics, and resilience. Futurist Sven Gabor Janszky shared insights into broader trends, while companies and institutions from the healthcare sector contributed their perspectives on the future of the industry. Workshops, discussions, and personal conversations once again made Future Lab a platform for exchange, orientation, and fresh ideas.

It was particularly evident in this setting that M Assist is not only looking back on 25 years of company history, but is also deliberately looking ahead.

25 years of development with a clear profile
At the beginning of the evening, M Assist Managing Director Michael Messner took guests on a journey through the company’s history. He spoke about the early days, key milestones, and the development of M Assist into a specialized management consultancy for the healthcare sector.

It became clear how much the company has evolved over the past 25 years and how consistently it has remained true to its core: supporting healthcare companies with sound expertise, implementation strength, and a clear understanding of market realities. In this context, Michael Messner also turned his attention to the people who have shaped M Assist over many years and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to employees as well as long-standing companions.

Christian Wulff honors M Assist in his laudatory speech
A special highlight of the evening was the laudatory speech delivered by former Federal President Christian Wulff. In his speech, he found clear words for M Assist’s position in the market:

“M Assist has become a firmly established force in the niche of homecare service providers and medical supply stores — with a holistic approach that always sees implementation within the respective company as a key success factor.”

He emphasized not only the company’s professional strength, but also the attitude with which M Assist supports its clients. Particularly striking was his perspective on the company culture and leadership style:

“If, after 25 years, a company can afford for its CEO to spend six months in Africa, that is actually the greatest compliment — to the CEO, because he is able to delegate, but also to the employees.”

This also referred to a personal example from the company’s more recent history: as part of a sabbatical, Michael Messner had deliberately taken time away while the company continued to be successfully and reliably carried forward by his team.

Wulff also explicitly highlighted M Assist’s innovative strength:

“M Assist is enormously innovative, with an extremely high level of client satisfaction. With every strategic recommendation, every process optimization, every structural reform, it demonstrates a clear sense of purpose and always pursues the goal of making things a little better for people.”

The accompanying program, featuring live music, a DJ, a three-tier anniversary cake, and a shared dinner, created an atmosphere that truly matched the occasion: festive, open, and at the same time personal.

25 years of M Assist mark a special milestone. At the same time, the evening was far more than a retrospective on what has been achieved. Its integration into Future Lab made it clear that M Assist also intends to continue providing momentum in the years ahead and supporting healthcare companies in addressing key challenges.

Christian Wulff’s remark in his laudatory speech that he would be happy to return for the company’s 50th anniversary was not only a charming closing note, but also a meaningful expression of his connection to the company.
